Vicky Blankenstein
Having had a very varied career path Vicky was delighted to take up a new challenge at the start of the year when Liz and Martin wanted to retire from the business. Vicky is keen to build on the trusted reputation of the Pram Shop and continue with the impeccable customer service people in the surrounding area have come to expect. She brings an attention to detail and understanding of retail which is unsurpassed and absolutely loves her customers. Vicky’s favourite product is the new Silver Cross Pioneer 2020. The luxurious fabrics and gorgeous chrome detailing make it a very stylish but practical pram.
Leigh Bonthrone
Leigh is The Pram Shop’s ray of sunshine. Always happy to help and go that extra mile for the customers, Leigh’s knowledge and enthusiasm in truly infectious. Her favourite product, although she says it is difficult to choose, is the Nuna Mixx travel system which she absolutely loves to demonstrate to our customers. When Leigh isn’t working in the pram shop she is surrounded by children. As a dance teacher, she helps the little tots turn into budding ballerinas. Leigh studied musical theatre at drama school but says prams are her second love. She is pretty handy with a screwdriver too and can often be seen assembling toys!
Joanne Dewar
Joanne is our longest serving member of the team and with two little tots of her own, brings a firsthand knowledge of parenthood to our business. Being a mum, Joanne is extremely practical and often points out the little nuances of the prams which makes life for parents easier or in some cases harder. Joanne’s favourite product, if she really had to choose, is the Sleepyhead Deluxe which she loved using with her son. Her favourite pram is the Uppababy Vista V2. It’s the perfect size for our little pocket-rocket and the manoeuvrability makes it super easy to push with an enthusiastic toddler by the side!
Isa Blankenstein
Isa is the Pram Shop gran and can be seen dotting in and out of the shop regularly. Although technically retired, Isa happily helps out with whatever needs to be done. That includes doing deliveries with Tony, answering the phone or rearranging the shop for the new season stock. A very valuable member of the team her favourite product is the Noordi Fjordi. As Isa is old school, she loves the big bouncy suspension on this pram and the all season carrycot and pushchair hood which makes this pram perfect for walks in the park.
Tony Blankenstein
Tony can be seen driving the firetruck around Fife, the Lothians and Tayside delivering prams and furniture. He also looks after the warehousing operations and is often roped into building various toys in exchange for a cup of tea! As Tony’s pride and joy is his big red delivery truck he says that his favourite products are the little ride-on firetruck and pedal cars.
Max Blankenstein
Max is our muscle! When he isn’t at college, Max can often be seen out and about in the firetruck helping his granddad do deliveries. He has recently undertaken a course at Elmwood college studying all things animal and hopes to make that his career in a couple of years. His favourite products are, of course, the ride of John Deere farm equipment which, if he wasn’t a strapping 17 year old, would be on his Christmas list!
